A number of people even lost their jobs or left them due to the economic toll of the pandemic. This sudden appearance of free times in people's lives gave them ample time to reflect on their ways. People realised the importance of relations and family. They finally had the time to call a loved one or call a family member and ask about their health.
They had the time they needed to give themselves, to check up on their own mental health. In such desperate times of sickness, people stuck together with their loved ones and took care of each other. Charity was also done in huge numbers and the privileged did all they could to help. The pandemic so clearly proved that when humans stick together, their strength is not added but multiplied. Even in such difficult times, hope and faith were never lost .
The effects on nature were rather relieving and beautiful. With the absence of humans on nature's grounds, the pandemic helped the nature heal for sometime. In accordance to the covid precautions , the world witnessed a reduced usage of plastic, less deforestation, less pollution, etc. A healthy change in the air quality index of many cities was observed due to empty roads and shut down factories. Many species of animals that were stated endangered managed to make it off that list. The weather cycle of many places stabilised after a very long time. Clean rivers and beaches were a fairly common site during the pandemic. All these effects also reminded people about the effect they are having on the environment by being careless about the environmental issues. Without the interference of us humans, the nature was as green and beautiful as ever.
Even though the negative effects of the pandemic outweigh the positive ones, its always better to look at the bright side and have patience and hope. The pandemic can also be seen as a way to unite us in different ways. And regardless of its effects, we must all do our best to help and strive to peresevere. We must learn to endure in these tough times.
